The story follows the story of Millie who becomes a housemaid for the Winchester family. The wife/mother, Nina Winchester starts out as pleasant but soon becomes increasingly difficult. It is as if Millie cannot do anything right. Both Nina and Millie are keeping secrets of their own. Check out this psychological thriller book for jaw dropping moments and twists throughout.
The Housemaid’s Secret
The second book in The Housemaid’s series is The Housemaid’s Secret. Arguably, some like this book better than the first! As you are reading this book, you may believe that is is similar to the first; however, keep reading and guessing. The plot twist will have this suspenseful book make you no trust any character.
Millie’s story continues as she lands a job as a housemaid for a new family. The Garrick’s have a stunning penthouse in New York City. Millie soon discovers that this family is hiding something as Mrs. Garrick is hidden away in a bedroom. Millie believes that Mrs. Garrick is in trouble, and will risk it all to save her. This is another twisty and fun read if you love a popcorn thriller.
The Housemaid Is Watching
Third up is The Housemaid Is Watching. Without giving too much away, this story follows Millie as she settles down with kids. She is happily married and moved into a new home. Everything comes crashing down when Millie believes her husband is keeping secrets from her. It seems every town and family has it’s secrets, but Millie never thought it would be her own. This book is a great way to wrap up the series as book #4 is a prequel to book #3.
The Housemaid’s Wedding
The gap between the 2nd and 3rd book is 15ish years. Therefore, this is a novella that talks about what happens in between that time. If you want to read the books in chronological order, push this one up to third. There is a twist in this one as you will read about Millie’s wedding day.
The Teacher
Next up is The Teacher. When you think you have the storyline figured out, trust me you do not. The ending has many twists and turns. Two teachers, one student, many secrets. This book has multiple POV’s that will have you wondering if there is an unreliable narrator. Those make for some of the best psychological thriller books. Just when you think you have it figured out, you get another twist.
Never Lie
Never Lie by Freida McFadden is five stars all the way. The best part of the book is how you are tricked from the beginning to end (in a good way). You know when you think you have a book figured out but then realize you were way off? That is this book. This book has the perfect combination of murder, of course some lies, romance, haunted house, and one of the best twists. This book is a Freida fan favorite and has been on the best seller list for years.
Want to Know A Secret?
The book takes place in a town that could be comparable to the Stepford wives meets the Real Housewives and every character carries secrets. This neighborhood is upscale and everyone appears perfect. The neighborhood is upscale and surrounded by wealthy people. It is a dream neighborhood, if it weren’t for some secrets… Yet, as the story unfolds, you will find everyone is far from perfect. A book based in a rich neighborhood is bound to have a juicy storyline and lots of secrets. Buckle up, this is going to be a fun and wild reading ride.

The Tenant
The Tenant is a psychological thriller book that follows the story of Blake Porter. Blake has what some may consider a picture perfect life. He has a high paying job as a VP of marketing. Blake has a gorgeous fiancé whom he adores and they live in the most beautiful Brownstone in Manhattan. Blake’s world comes crashing down when he suddenly gets fired from his job. Also, not only did he get fired, but he feels as though he is being framed and is innocent.
Since Blake is now unemployed and in desperate need of money, him and his fiancé decide to get a tenant. As a result, the couple places an ad that they are seeking a tenant. Whitney (the tenant) is literally perfect in every way. She is exactly what they are looking for. However, as time progresses, strange occurrences begin to happen.

Ward D
Isolated in a psychiatric facility, medical student, Amy is spending the night there. Amy comes face to face with her childhood best friend. Amy begins to have flashbacks of trauma she faced as a child. Murder, secrets, and strange occurrences happen as Amy is trapped inside this psych ward.
The Perfect Son
Liam, a highschooler AKA the “perfect” son, is the prime suspect in the disappearance of a high school girl. As the books progresses, there are clues as to who the killer is. Is Liam the killer? Is he being framed? This perfect son may have deceived many. Every family has secrets, and this one has more than one. Be sure to check out this gripping thriller book.
The Ex
Next up is The Ex which is a psychological thriller with multiple POV’s keeping you guessing until the end. This gripping thriller book follows the story of an ex and his new girlfriend. Murder, betrayal, secrets. This is one you will want to add to your To Be Read list.
The Boyfriend
Sydney meets Tom, who is literally the perfect man on paper. He is handsome, a doctor, and seemingly has his life together. Sydney starts to feel uneasy as there is a serial killer in her area, targeting young women. Could Sydney’s perfect boyfriend be a serial killer? Some clues point to him and Sydney becomes increasingly suspicious. This book has a plot twist that will have you re-reading that chapter over and over.
The Intruder
Next up is The Intruder which is a psychological thriller that has multiple Points Of View to keep you guessing who the bad guy is. Additionally, this is in an isolated location if you love books that have all the action happen primarily in one location. The Inmate
The Inmate is a psychological thriller book that follows the story of Brooke and Shane. Brooke is a medical professional that takes a job in a prison. Brain Damage
Lastly, Brain Damage is a book that follows Dr. Charly McKenna, who is suffering a brain injury. Dr. McKenna was shot in the head and does not remember a thing. As the days start to unfold and Charly gets better, clues come to her as to who shot her. She is a good person, who would want to kill her? And why?
